People Michelle Obama is no Sherry Palmer

I think I understand now.... There are quite a few people who have the most crazy reactions to Michelle Obama. They like Barack, but they hate her. I haven't seen her do anything hate worthy, but now I think I have it. They have watched one episode of 24 too many. They think she is Sherry Palmer..... Just a thought.

Responsibility project.

I learned about the responsibility project from Momcentral. It is an excellent exercise in moral focus. That is the curriculum that the students at my school use. I liked sharing the stories and the blog entries about responsibility with my students, my daycare provider, and my children. We are currently living with a generation of young people who increasingly feel that they are entitled to things but are not respnsible for anything, and the responsibility project can help combat those issues. It is truly a way for parents to give examples of the trait of responsiblity in others and by other youth. Liberty Mutual did an excellent job by creating this resource, and I use the site often when focusing on the issue of Responsibility in our character ed curriculum. for more information about the Responsibility project contact http://www.responsibilityproject.com/

Getting back in touch with my low tech side.

When I was about six or seven my grandmother taught me to crochet..... It went by the wayside, but I have currently picked it back up. Needless to say I love it. As a mom and a person who was never really all that creative, this is the perfect opportunity for me to express my creativity. I love it. My house is overrun by yarn, and my husband is annoyed...LOL My three year old however wishes to learn, and guess what? I plan to teach her. She is the most sweet little girl in the world. (When she is sleeping.) I think she will enjoy doing something like her mommy.

Welcome to Noodleboro (product review)

My daughter loves to play games, she loves matching games, and has an excellent memory. We received the learning about manners game, and quite frankly I have never been so proud. I must be doing my job because she had no problem saying please or thank you, and she managed to beat her mom!

The book included in the game was a hit, and she really loved the cd. Unfortunately for me (wink) I am going to have to find a way to sneak it out of the car so that mommy can listen to some music that she would like to listen to.

The game was simple, but it is for toddlers and up. The book included and the cd were also an added bonus. I must go now.... I believe my daughter wants to go on another picnic so that she can practice her manners and colors.

My favorite game piece is the cd. Radio Rick was hilarious, and Patricia Polite had me in stitches. I hope they turn this into a cartoon series because I would definitely allow my children to watch!

Good job playschool, I am recommending this game to my daycare provider. The kids will really enjoy it.
