Walmart's Deals (Momcentral Blog Tour)

During this tough economy Walmart Supercenters are a life saver. Walmart is the go to place for food, electronics, arts and crafts, and online shopping. I am more inclined to shop at walmart for the following reasons:
  • One stop shopping: Electronics, home, crafts, and food
  • I can buy 2 weeks worth of grocery and diapers for 100.00
  • I can get games and dvd's for cheap
  • I can feed my craft hobby without hubby giving me the side eye
  • I can buy snacks for my daughters dance class and not break the bank.
In this recession it is imperative that we stretch our dollars, and Walmart helps me do that. Buying two weeks worth of grocery and diapers is how I stretch my money with Walmart.

How has Walmart helped you maintain during this recession? Leave comments Below. On February 16 I will select one reader to win a 50 dollar walmart giftcard! I am interested in the most thrifty use for your 50 dollar walmart card. (Be creative, and know that I am not looking at what you spent your card on feel free to spend it differently if you choose.)
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Walmart. In addition, I received a Walmart gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate and one to offer as a giveaway."

This may not sound too thrifty, but since a new Wal-Mart was built in our community, it's become the go-to place when we need to purchase birthday party gifts and toys. They have a nice selection and we can still participate in birthday parties, which are really important for elementary-aged kids!

Ok, I am going to first be honest and say I really do not like Wal-Mart but like the IRS it is a necessary evil. I like the fact the Wal-Mart has .50 greeting cards. Yes I said .50. Yes I am cheap! I also tend to purchase the Parents Choice, wipes, dried fruit snacks, toys(for my budding DEconstruction worker) and housewares. The one thing I do say I like most about Wal-Mart is the ability to send money or load money on a Walmart Visa Money Card with only a $3 or $4 fee. Compared to money gram and Western Unions minimum of $12. So this way my fiance and I send money to each other without breaking the bank. Paypal takes to long to transfer money, Money transfer from our respective banks is just as much as Wester Union and Money Gram..especially since the bank I bank with is not where he is and the bank he banks with is not here (THERE REALLY IS NOT A NATIONAL BANK all though banks claim to be). So with that said, when I go to Walmart I try to make sure I am prayed up and filled with the Holy Ghost because I think people become possessed with da debil when they roll onto Wal-Marts premises and the people who work their are all undercover demons, LMAO!!!
